April Journal Prompts #2
Focus word for 2018
Did you pick one? It kind of goes along with goals you’d like to accomplish, but it’s more of a catch phrase to remind yourself to keep on track.
Let me give you an example. I first learned about this in 2017. My biggest problem with accomplishing goals at that time was getting distracted. I tend to let myself get distracted from what I really want for the latest passing fancy.
So, I decided my word for 2017 was FOCUS. I think it really helped me keep from splitting my time and attention in too many directions.
This year, my word is COURAGE because I have let my fear of not being perfect stop me from accomplishing what I want most. I’m afraid of not being perfect at writing or blogging or selling my journals because I am not perfect at those things—YET. These things will always be a work-in-progress and that’s okay!
Ruth Soukup, from Elite Blog Academy says, “Do it scared.” This blog is proof that I’m doing it, and I’m definitely scared.
So, here’s the challenge. Think about your life right now. What do you want it to look like a year from now? What one word is at the very heart of what you want?
Write the word in the biggest letters that will fit the center of your page. Ponder on that a bit and journal what that’s going to look like. What changes do you need to make?
Remember to be kind to yourself. I’d really love to see your focus word. Share it to our Facebook page if you feel so inclined.
